Membership Categories
NJAPZA has four classes of Regular membership:
- Classes IA and IB memberships are open to those individuals who are employed by a municipal government and provide administrative or zoning enforcement services in a land use office.
- Class IIA membership is open to those individuals who have been a Class I member in the past but have retired or moved out of state.
- Class IIB membership is open to any individual with an interest in the field of planning and zoning.
Other types of membership:
Honorary and Lifetime memberships may be awarded at the discretion of the Membership Committee and Board of Directors
Qualifications for Membership
To be considered a regular member, qualified individuals must file a membership application annually and pay the dues established under the NJAPZA by-laws.
To be eligible for Lifetime membership, an individual must have been an active, contributing member in good standing for a minimum of 25 years, be nominated by the Membership Committee and be confirmed by the Board of Directors.
