Sal has been a member of NJAPZA for 10 years. He is also chair of the events committee. Sal has been a Zoning Officer for the Township of Denville for 12 years and certified for 10 years. He is currently the Construction Official and Zoning Officer for the Township of Denville and the Borough of Pompton Lakes. Sal also serves on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Building Officials. Additionally, he was just recently appointed by the Morris County Freeholders as a Commissioner for the Morris County Housing Authority. Sal has two children and has been happily married for 26 years.

Alicia Losonczy

Planning/Zoning Board of Adjustment Administrator

City of Bayonne

Alicia joined NJAPZA in 2016 after becoming the City of Bayonne’s Zoning Board of Adjustment Secretary. Shortly thereafter, she obtained her certificate as a Zoning Officer, and was appointed as the City’s Zoning Officer for over two years. After learning the land use processes, she became the City’s Planning/Zoning Board of Adjustment Administrator, which position she currently holds. Outside of the City of Bayonne, Alicia is very active with the NJAPZA, serving as the Board’s Acting Corresponding and Recording Secretary, the Chair of the Technology Committee, supporting the administrative work for the organization’s Continuing Education events, and assists with the Annual Luncheon held in Atlantic City. Alicia also sits on the Planning and Zoning Educational Advisory Board/Rutgers University, Center for Government Services. She greatly appreciates the NJAPZA’s mentorship program, networking, and educational opportunities. Outside of being a proud mother of three children and a caring wife, what she loves most about Land Use are the everyday challenges to learn something new.

Miriam is a long-standing member of NJAPZA who has served the Association in a variety of capacities over the years, including as Chair of the Law & Legislative Committee. Many members may recognize Miriam from assisting with check-in at NJAPZA’s in-person programs and the Annual Luncheon in Atlantic City. She currently serves as the Assistant Business Administrator and Director of the Division of Arts & Culture for Maplewood Township.

Jackie has been an active member of the NJAPZA Board for many years and has chaired multiple committees, including Public Relations and Newsletter, before being elected to the Executive Committee as Corresponding and Recording Secretary. In addition to her board service, Jackie has played a key role in the Association’s branding efforts, including the modernization of NJAPZA’s logos and design standards for both digital and in-person events. Jackie holds a Master of Public Administration and currently serves as the Planning Administrator and Municipal Housing Liaison for the Township of Livingston.
