The Board of Directors of the New Jersey Association of Planning and Zoning Administrators (“NJAPZA”), a 501(c)6 non-profit member organization, is seeking to hire a part-time Executive Director starting January 1, 2018. The job entails carrying out administrative tasks including but not limited to processing membership applications, supporting volunteer committees, communicating with members, vendors and other organizations, handling contracts, assisting with seminars and webinars, and fundraising. The successful candidate will be familiar with the fields of planning administration and zoning enforcement, having worked in either of these capacities previously or currently in a part-time role. Educational and experience requirements include a high school diploma with five years of experience in the field or a secondary level degree with least three years of experience in the field. Basic proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience using Adobe software, QuickBooks, and/or WordPress a plus, but not required. Occasional travel to attend meetings within New Jersey will be required. The position is approximately twenty (20) hours a week with a starting salary of $15,000 with opportunity for growth.
